This thing went like stink and was hands down the fastest car I had ever owned at that point in time. Purchased from the original owner with 245,000 miles on the original engine without a rebuild. It ran perfectly and turned into an absolute monster when the turbo spooled up. The car was drag-raced throughout its life and had many awards to its name, including: 2005 13th Annual DSM Shootout Stock Appearance (SA) Class Winner 2004 12th Annual DSM Shootout SA Class Winner 2002 10th Annual DSM Shootout SA Class Winner 2001 9th Annual DSM Shootout SA Class Semi-Finalist 2000 8th Annual DSM Shootout SA Class Runner-Up 1997 5th Annual DSM Shootout SA Class Third Place The previous owner had a personal best of 12.49 @ 109mph, however had logged numerous 12.6@110 passes and was very consistent. I purchased with the intent of converting it over as my latest road-racing project. Eventually (before I started dumping money into it, thank goodness) I decided that it would be a considerable amount of work to make this car adept at turning and that it would be better off to sell to somebody looking for a fantastic drag car. I still miss it occaisionally, just for the brute force that it exerted and the fact that it had a truly impressive mileage considering the amount of strain the engine was under. It was very clean and tastefully modified; I really enjoyed having a rediculously fast car and not attracting a lot of attention. |
